We relax at the Inn at Tern Lake in the morning. Seward during the afternoon!
We plan on coffee, breakfast, exploring the Inn, and relaxing for the morning. We'll drive after noon to Alaska Sealife Center in Seward. We'll then stop at the Kenai Fjords NP Visitor Center and the Exit Glacier Nature Center before heading back north to the Inn.
Exit Glacier Nature Center
Turn west onto Herman Leirer Road (commonly called "Exit Glacier Road") at mile 3.7 of the Seward Highway - AK-9. Proceed 8.6 miles. The road will end at the parking lot for the nature center.
Hours are from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
The Exit Glacier at the nature center is as close as you can get to a glacier by car. The parking lot is rather small, so we plan to time our visit to be outside of the "busy" time of 10:00 am to 3:30 pm
The Inn at Tern Lake
We have reservations for two nights in room #4 on 8/25 and 26/2025. Check-in between 4 pm and 6 pm.

The Inn at Tern Lake is not simply a place to spend a couple of nights on our tour of Alaska, it's a special place to visit and enjoy during our trip. This place is beautiful.
We're planning to spend time at Inn taking a travel break. We'll use the large, fully equipped kitchen and bar-b-que grills to make our dinners while here (our breakfast is made for us).
