We're heading to Seward today, and we're spending the night at the Inn at Tern Lake!

We're checking out of the condo in Girdwood and driving to Seward today.  On the way we'll stop at the Begich, Boggs Visitor Center at Portage Lake.  From there we'll drive to Seward and board a 5-hour cruise of Resurrection Bay with a dinner stop at Fox Island.  When the cruise is over, we'll drive back north and check in at the Inn at Tern Lake.

5-hour Kenai Fjord Cruise

5-hour cruise with a stop for lunch at Fox Island

This half-day tour includes jagged cliffs, seabirds, marine wildlife and alpine glaciers, paired with an unforgettable meal at the exclusive and charming Fox Island Daylodge.

After we complete our cruise along the east shore of Resurrection Bay with our stop at Fox Island, the boat goes around the southern tip of Rugged Island and heads for the west shore of the Resurrection Bay.  As we continue our turn from the west to the northwest, we'll be pointed directly at the Bear Glacier.   See the satellite view of the area of the cruise (picture to the right).

The Inn at Tern Lake is not simply a place to spend a couple of nights on our tour of Alaska, it's a special place to visit and enjoy during our trip. This place is beautiful.

We're planning to spend time at Inn taking a travel break.  We'll use the large, fully equipped kitchen and bar-b-que grills to make our dinners while here (our breakfast is made for us).
