Hele-on Bus Schedule
I found out today (9/7/2024) that the Hele-on bus service on the big island of Hawaii is fare-free thru 2025. This initiated a whole new focus for me. I get to figure out how to use the Hele-on bus system to get to and return from shopping in Kona.​ There are multiple Hele-on bus routes (2, 75, and 90) that pickup at the Waikoloa Hilton Resort Employee's Entrance and stops in Kona near the Target in Kona. From there 201 bus runs south (on the hour), stops about a dozen times, and arrives at the Keauhou Shopping Center (on the half hour).

Route 2 at 6:46 am from Waikoloa, arrives at stop 606 at 7:45 am, 15 min wait for southbound bus 201 at 8:00 am.
Route 75 at 8:31 am from Waikoloa, arrives at stop 606 at 9:25 am, 35 min wait for southbound bus 201 at 10:00 am.
Route 90 at 7:50 am from Waikoloa, arrives at stop 606 at 8:52 am, 8 min wait for southbound bus 201 at 9:00 am.
